רַבִּי חֲנִינָא בֶּן חֲכִינַאי אוֹמֵר: הַנֵּעוֹר בַּלַּיְלָה וְהַמְּהַלֵּךְ בַּדֶּרֶךְ יְחִידִי וְהַמְּפַנֶּה לִבּוֹ לְבַטָּלָה, הֲרֵי זֶה מִתְחַיֵּב בְּנַפְשׁוֹ.

And one who walks alone on the road is in danger of robbers and other vicissitudes.)]
