{א} הַלְלוּיָהּ אַשְׁרֵי אִישׁ יָרֵא אֶת יְהוָה בְּמִצְוֹתָיו חָפֵץ מְאֹד:
{ב} גִּבּוֹר בָּאָרֶץ יִהְיֶה זַרְעוֹ דּוֹר יְשָׁרִים יְבֹרָךְ:
{ג} הוֹן וָעֹשֶׁר בְּבֵיתוֹ וְצִדְקָתוֹ עֹמֶדֶת לָעַד:
{ד} זָרַח בַּחֹשֶׁךְ אוֹר לַיְשָׁרִים חַנּוּן וְרַחוּם וְצַדִּיק:
{ה} טוֹב אִישׁ חוֹנֵן וּמַלְוֶה יְכַלְכֵּל דְּבָרָיו בְּמִשְׁפָּט:
{ו} כִּי לְעוֹלָם לֹא יִמּוֹט לְזֵכֶר עוֹלָם יִהְיֶה צַדִּיק:
{ז} מִשְּׁמוּעָה רָעָה לֹא יִירָא נָכוֹן לִבּוֹ בָּטֻחַ בַּיהוָה:
{ח} סָמוּךְ לִבּוֹ לֹא יִירָא עַד אֲשֶׁר יִרְאֶה בְצָרָיו:
{ט} פִּזַּר נָתַן לָאֶבְיוֹנִים צִדְקָתוֹ עֹמֶדֶת לָעַד קַרְנוֹ תָּרוּם בְּכָבוֹד:
{י} רָשָׁע יִרְאֶה וְכָעָס שִׁנָּיו יַחֲרֹק וְנָמָס תַּאֲוַת רְשָׁעִים תֹּאבֵד:

Haleluiá, ashrê ish iare et Adonai, bemitsvotav chafets meod
Guibor baárets yihie zar’ó, dor iesharim ievorach
Hon vaósher beveto, vetsidcato omédet laad
Zarach bachóshech or laisharim, chanun verachum vetsadic
Tov ish chonen umalvê, iechalkel devarav bemishpat
Ki leolam lo yimot, lezécher olam yihie tsadic
Mishemuá raá lo yirá, nachon libo batúach badonai
Samuch libo lo yirá, ad asher yir’ê vetsarav
Pizar natan laevionim, tsidcato omédet laad, carno tarum bechavod
Rashá yir’ê vechaas, shinav iacharoc venamas, taavat reshaim toved

Tehillim 112 - Tehillim translated into english

1. Hallelujah! Happy is the man who fears the Lord, who delights greatly in his commandments!
2. His seed shall be mighty upon earth; the generation of the upright shall be blessed!
3. Wealth and riches shall be in his house; and his righteousness will endure for ever!
4. Light rises in the darkness for the upright; he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous!
5. A good man lends with a good grace; he conducts his affairs with justice!
6. Surely he shall never be moved; the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance!
7. He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord!
8. His heart is steady, he shall not be afraid, until he gazes upon his enemies!
9. He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honor!
10. The wicked man shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash his teeth, and melt away; the desire of the wicked comes to naught!

This psalm, too, follows alphabetical sequence, each verse containing two letters, save the last two which contain three letters each. It speaks of the good traits man should choose, and of how to give charity-the reward for which is never having to rely on others.
