Mishnah 17 - Chapter 4 - Pirkei Avot

Hu hayah omer. Yafah sha'ah achat bitshuvah uma'asim tovim ba'olam hazzeh, mikkol chayei ha'olam habba. Veyafah sha'ah achat shel korat ruach ba'olam habba, mikkol chayei ha'olam hazzeh.

He used to say: more precious is one hour in repentance and good deeds in this world, than all the life of the world to come; And more precious is one hour of the tranquility of the world to come, than all the life of this world.

He was wont to say: Better one hour for [purposes of] repentance and good deeds in this world than all of the life in the world to come. [For at that time repentance and good deeds are of no avail to a man. For the world to come serves only for the receiving of reward for what one fulfilled in this world.] And better one hour of pleasure in the world to come than all of the life in this world.
