Ashrê haguéver asher sam Adonai mivtacho, velo fana el rehavim vessatê chazav
Rabot assíta ata Adonai Elohai, nifleotêcha umach’shevotêcha elênu, en aroch elêcha aguída vaadabêra, atsemu missapêr
Zévach uminchá lo chafáts’ta, oznáyim caríta li, olá vachataá lo shaálta
Az amárti hine váti, bimguilat sêfer catuv alai
Laassót retsonechá Elohai chafáts’ti, vetoratechá betoch meai
Bissarti tsédec becahal rav, hine sefatai lo ech’la, Adonai ata iadáta
Tsidcatechá lo chissiti betoch libi, emunatechá uteshuatechá amárti, lo chichádeti chasdechá vaamitechá lecahal rav
Ata Adonai lo tich’lá rachamêcha mimêni, chasdechá vaamitechá tamid yitserúni
Ki afefu alai raót ad en mispar, hissigúni avonotai velo iacholti lir’ot, atsemu missaarot roshi velibi azavani
Retse Adonai lehatsilêni, Adonai leezrati chúsha
Ievôshu veiachperú iachad mevac’shê nafshi lispota, yissôgu achor veyicalemu chafetsê raati
Iashômu al ékev boshtam, haomerim li heach heach
Iassíssu veyismechú bechá col mevakeshêcha, iomeru tamid yigdal Adonai ohavê teshuatêcha
Vaani ani veevion Adonai, iachashov li, ezrati umfalti áta, Elohai al teachar

1. To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.
2. I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined to me, and heard my cry.
3. And he drew me up from the gruesome pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and made my footsteps secure.
4. And he has put a new song in my mouth, praise to our God; many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.
5. Happy is the man who makes the Lord his trust, and does not turn to the proud, nor to those who go astray after lies.
6. Many, O Lord my God, are your wonderful works which you have done, and your thoughts which are toward us; none can compare with you; if I would declare and tell of them, they would be more than can be numbered.
7. You do not desire sacrifice and offering; you have dug open my ears; you have not required burnt offering and sin offering.
8. Then I said, behold, I come; in the scroll of the book it is written about me,
9. I delight to do your will, O my God; your Torah is in my heart.
10. I have preached righteousness in the great congregation; behold, I did not refrain my lips, O Lord, you know.
11. I did not hide your righteousness in my heart; I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation; I have not concealed your loving kindness and your truth from the great congregation.
12. Do not withhold, O Lord, your compassion from me; let your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me.
13. For innumerable evils have surrounded me; my iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to see; they are more than the hairs of my head; therefore my heart fails me.
14. Be pleased, O Lord, to save me; O Lord, make haste to help me.
15. Let those who seek after my soul to destroy it be altogether ashamed and confounded; let those who wish me evil be turned back and put to shame.
16. Let those who say to me Aha, aha, be appalled, because of their shame.
17. Let all those who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; let those who love your salvation say continually, The Lord be magnified.
18. But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord takes thought for me; you are my help and my savior; delay not, O my God.

A statement o Faith and Appreciation of God

The psalmist speaks of the numerous wonders that God wrought for the Jewish people, asking: "Who can articulate His might? I would relate and speak of them, but they are too numerous to recount!" He created the world and split the sea for the sake of Israel, [yet] He desires no sacrifices, only that we listen to His voice.
