{א} שִׁיר מִזְמוֹר לִבְנֵי קֹרַח:
{ב} גָּדוֹל יְהוָה וּמְהֻלָּל מְאֹד בְּעִיר אֱלֹהֵינוּ הַר קָדְשׁוֹ:
{ג} יְפֵה נוֹף מְשׂוֹשׂ כָּל הָאָרֶץ הַר צִיּוֹן יַרְכְּתֵי צָפוֹן קִרְיַת מֶלֶךְ רָב:
{ד} אֱלֹהִים בְּאַרְמְנוֹתֶיהָ נוֹדַע לְמִשְׂגָּב:
{ה} כִּי הִנֵּה הַמְּלָכִים נוֹעֲדוּ עָבְרוּ יַחְדָּו:
{ו} הֵמָּה רָאוּ כֵּן תָּמָהוּ נִבְהֲלוּ נֶחְפָּזוּ:
{ז} רְעָדָה אֲחָזָתַם שָׁם חִיל כַּיּוֹלֵדָה:
{ח} בְּרוּחַ קָדִים תְּשַׁבֵּר אֳנִיּוֹת תַּרְשִׁישׁ:
{ט} כַּאֲשֶׁר שָׁמַעְנוּ כֵּן רָאִינוּ בְּעִיר יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת בְּעִיר אֱלֹהֵינוּ אֱלֹהִים יְכוֹנְנֶהָ עַד עוֹלָם סֶלָה:
{י} דִּמִּינוּ אֱלֹהִים חַסְדֶּךָ בְּקֶרֶב הֵיכָלֶךָ:
{יא} כְּשִׁמְךָ אֱלֹהִים כֵּן תְּהִלָּתְךָ עַל קַצְוֵי אֶרֶץ צֶדֶק מָלְאָה יְמִינֶךָ:
{יב} יִשְׂמַח הַר צִיּוֹן תָּגֵלְנָה בְּנוֹת יְהוּדָה לְמַעַן מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ:
{יג} סֹבּוּ צִיּוֹן וְהַקִּיפוּהָ סִפְרוּ מִגְדָּלֶיהָ:
{יד} שִׁיתוּ לִבְּכֶם לְחֵילָה פַּסְּגוּ אַרְמְנוֹתֶיהָ לְמַעַן תְּסַפְּרוּ לְדוֹר אַחֲרוֹן:
{טו} כִּי זֶה אֱלֹהִים אֱלֹהֵינוּ עוֹלָם וָעֶד הוּא יְנַהֲגֵנוּ עַל מוּת:

Elohim bearmenotêha noda lemisgav
Ki hinê hamelachim noadu, averú iachdáv

Tehillim 48 - Tehillim translated into english

1. A Song and Psalm for the sons of Korah.
2. Great is the Lord, and highly to be praised in the city of our God. The mountain of his holiness,
3. Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.
4. God is known in her palaces for a refuge.
5. For, behold, the kings were assembled, they came on together.
6. As soon as they saw it, they were astounded; they were frightened; they fled away.
7. Fear took hold of them there, and pain, like a woman in labor.
8. You break the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.
9. As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God; God will establish it for ever. Selah.
10. We have thought of your loving kindness, O God, in the midst of your temple.
11. According to your name, O God, so is your praise to the ends of the earth; your right hand is full of righteousness.
12. Let Mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of your judgments.
13. Walk about Zion, and go around her; count her towers.
14. Mark well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that you may tell it to the following generation,
15. That this is God, our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide till death.
