Ledavid, shoftêni Adonai ki ani betumi haláchti, uvadonai batáchti lo em’ad
Bechanêni Adonai venassêni, tsarfa chiliotai velibi
Ki chasdechá lenégued enai, vehit’haláchti baamitêcha
Lo iashavti im metê shav, veim naalamim lo avo
Sanêti kehal mereim, veim reshaim lo eshev
Erchats benicaion capai, vaassovevá et mizbachacha Adonai
Lashmía becol todá, ulessaper col nifleotêcha
Adonai ahavti meon betêcha, umecom mishcan kevodêcha
Al teessof im chataim nafshi, veim anshê damim chaiai
Asher bidehem zima, viminam maleá shôchad
Vaani betumi elech, pedêni vechonêni
Ragli ameda vemishor, bemac’helim avarech Adonai

1. A Psalm of David. Judge me, O Lord; for I have walked in my integrity; I have trusted in the Lord; therefore I shall not slip.
2. Examine me, O Lord, and test me; test my insides and my heart.
3. For your loving kindness is before my eyes; and I have walked in your truth.
4. I have not sat with vain persons, nor do I enter the company of dissemblers.
5. I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and do not sit with the wicked.
6. I wash my hands in innocency; so will I go around your altar, O Lord!
7. That I may sound the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all your wondrous works.
8. Lord, I love the habitation of your house, and the place where your glory dwells.
9. Do not gather my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men;
10. In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.
11. But as for me, I will walk in my integrity; redeem me, and be merciful to me.
12. My foot stands on an even place; in the congregations I will bless the Lord.

For Help In Difficult Times, For a person in difficulty

In this psalm King David inundates God with prayers and acts of piety, because he envies those who are his spiritual superiors, saying, "If only I were on their level of piety and virtue!"
