Tefila ledavid, hate Adonai oznechá anêni, ki ani veevion áni
Shamra nafshi ki chassid áni, hosha avdechá ata Elohai, habotêach elêcha
Chonêni Adonai, ki elêcha ecrá col haiom
Samêach néfesh avdêcha, ki elêcha Adonai nafshi essa
Ki ata Adonai tov vessalach, verav chéssed lechol coreêcha
Haazina Adonai tefilati vehac’shíva becol tachanunotai
Beiom tsarati ecraêca, ki taanêni
En camôcha vaelohim Adonai, veen kemaassêcha
Col goyim asher assíta iavôu veyishtachavú lefanêcha Adonai, vichabedú lishmêcha
Ki gadol ata veosse niflaot, ata Elohim levadêcha
Horêni Adonai darkêcha, ahalech baamitêcha, iached levavi leyir’á shemêcha
Odechá Adonai Elohai bechol levavi, vaachabedá shimchá leolam
Ki chasdechá gadol alai, vehitsálta nafshi misheól tachtiya
Elohim, zedim cámu alai vaadat aritsim bic’shú nafshi, velo samúcha lenegdam
Veata Adonai El rachum vechanun, érech apáyim verav chéssed veemet
Pene elai vechonêni, tena uzechá leavdêcha, vehoshía leven amatêcha
Asse imi ot letova, veyir’u soneai veievôshu, ki ata Adonai azartáni venichamtáni

1. A Prayer of David. Incline your ear, O Lord, answer me; for I am poor and needy.
2. Preserve my soul; for I am pious; O my God, save your servant who trusts in you.
3. Be merciful to me, O Lord; for I cry to you daily.
4. Rejoice the soul of your servant; for to you, O Lord, I lift up my soul.
5. For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive; and of bountiful love toward all those who call upon you.
6. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.
7. On the day of my trouble I will call on you; for you will answer me.
8. Among the gods there is none like you, O Lord; nor are there any works like yours.
9. All nations whom you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord; and shall glorify your name.
10. For you are great, and you do wondrous things; you alone are God.
11. Teach me your way, O Lord; I will walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name.
12. I will thank you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; and I will glorify your name for evermore.
13. For great is your loving kindness toward me; and you have saved my soul from the depths of Sheol.
14. O God, the arrogant have risen against me, and the assembly of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set you before them.
15. But you, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and bountiful in loving kindness and truth.
16. O turn to me, and have mercy upon me; give your strength to your servant, and save the son of your maidservant.
17. Show me a sign for good; that they who hate me may see it, and be ashamed; because you, Lord, have helped me, and comforted me.

This psalm contains many prayers regarding David's troubles, and his enemies Doeg and Achitophel. It also includes many descriptions of God's praise. Every individual can offer this psalm when in distress.
