Joint Tehillim Reading For the Refuah of Andrew ben Tina

My cousin Andrew (34), has been recently diagnosed with a form of Leukemia and is on life support (as of Tues March 3). The Talmud (Berakhot 5b) records a famous story where one Rabbi falls ill, and another Rabbi visits him. He doesn't just offer sympathy; he stretches out his hand and "lifts him up." The Talmud concludes: "A prisoner cannot release himself from prison." The Lesson: We often need an "outside" spiritual force to help break the "shackles" of illness. Our prayers and mitzvahs can provide that external leverage for Andrew who is currently "bound" by sickness.
